Allegion does not sell direct to the public. We sell our products to a large number of authorised hardware distributors who can assist with any hardware enquiries. If you are interested in becoming an authorised hardware distributor of Allegion products, please contact our Customer Service Team via the contact us form.

Allegion warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for the stated periods from the date of purchase. We offer a range of mechanical, electrical and finish warranties, depending on range, and finish and brand.

If you have a warranty concern, please contact the retailer or builder/installer from where you purchased your product, so they can assist with your warranty process.

Allegion channel partners can submit a warranty claim at nzinfo@allegion.com. Make sure to include your contact details (name, address, phone number), product name and photos, if needed.

Allegion's portfolio of products is diverse and shared between our counterparts in Americas, Europe and Asia. Our hardware is made both locally in our Auckland plant, and overseas Allegion plants as well as overseas to Allegion specification, in Taiwan and China.

A large majority of our residential product offerings are designed and tested locally in Australasia to ensure they are suitable for Australian and New Zealand homes and our climatic conditions.

Allegion provides training to specifiers and fabricators, on top of our free scheduling service. With a team of technicians, customer service and sales representatives located around the country, we can support you and your customers every step of the way throughout your project.

We have a strong portfolio of products and solutions that are compliant with AS1428:1-2009 (Design for access & mobility standard). Head to our product listing page and use the Application filter to reveal all accessibility compliant products.

It means that the product has been tested on fire door assemblies in accordance with Australian Standards, refer to your fire door manufacturer for specific approval details.

Residential and light duty – Light use; Typical applications include residential homes, apartments and low traffic offices

Commercial – Moderate to high traffic flow; Typical applications include classrooms, storerooms, entrance or fire applications

Heavy duty – Excessive High usage or high security, subject to abuse; Typical applications include prisons, stairwell doors and air pressure differential

Depending on the brand and product, Allegion offers a range of finishes, some of these include: Aluminium, Antique Bronze, Bright Brass, Black, Chrome Plate, Dark Bronze, Oil Rubbed Bronze,  Polished Brass, Satin Black Chrome, Satin Brass, Satin Chrome Plate, Satin Pearl, Satin Stainless Steel and Silver.

Quality stainless steel performs best in coastal conditions. We recommend using Schlage Form Series, Schlage Verta Series or our Legge 6000 or 8000 Series. In coastal environments, please ensure you follow the care and maintenance guides to ensure the finish lasts.

Yes, Allegion offers Euro cylinders. They are available in four options: Key/Turn, Key/Key, Key, or Turn only. For more information, please get in touch with our Customer Service team.

Keyed to Differ (KD) - All keys are individual and stand alone. Each lock can only be opened by its own individual key.

Keyed Alike (KA) - The system allows a number of locks to be operated by the same key as they are keyed to a specific code. This system is particularly suitable for residential applications with front and back doors.

Master keying is a method of controlling access through a building. A key schedule is prepared from provided floor plans. Includes a key tracking system which locates keys and locks and keeps a secure procedure on what keying has been undertaken. Security is based on a system where one lock has its own key. This key will not operate any other locks in the system however where all locks are in the same system the locks can be operated by the one master key.

Yes, some door hardware may vary to provide allowance for door thickness. Refer to our website and collateral which will clearly identify the door thickness each product is suitable for.

It depends on the door preperation and the series you wish to change to. Refer to our website and collateral which will clearly identify the door thickness each product is suitable for.

We recommend using a door closer. There are a number to choose from, depending on the application and door. Please contact our Customer Services team if you have any questions.

All Schlage door hardware can be used with a universal rebate kit.
